Obama Throws Hispanics Under The Bus

Once again we are rendered invisible and our so called "Latino" vote is taken for granted. I hope Obama loses his ass and big. White males certainly will not vote for him.

But instead of picking Richardson to lock in the Hispanic vote and make 40 million of us feel like we are part of the electoral process, he picked a white male. When it is clear that whites don't vote for VP.

But Hispanics would've come out in droves to vote for Obama/Richardson. That would've been guaranteed.

I will be praying that the "Tom Bradley effect" bites Obama in his ass.

Hispanic vote 'up for grabs,' could swing election outcome

By Kathy Kiely, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — The battle for the Hispanic vote is on.

Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama plan back-to-back appearances Saturday before the annual meeting of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. The non-partisan group represents more than 5,500 officeholders and the fastest-growing voting bloc in the nation.

In a report issued Thursday, the group, known as NALEO, predicted a record-breaking turnout of at least 9.2 million Hispanic voters this fall. They could be key to winning swing states such as New Mexico, Florida and Colorado.

Oh, Oh! BREAKING NEWS: Michelle’s Whitey Problem

Update: Johnson did not Put up, so I guess he shut up!

by Larry Johnson NoQuarter.net
New and dramatic developments. This is a heads up. I’ll post the news Monday morning by 0900 hours. Now I know why people who have seen the videotape say it is stunning. Barack’s headaches are only starting.

I hope it's a prank. But the rumors are that the REAL reason Hillary Clinton wont drop out is because there is a tape of Michelle Obama making some potentially embarrassing statements.

Supposedly, a wealthy Conservative Republican heard of the tape and has offered a great deal of money for it.

As you can see above, the you know what is supposed to hit the fan on Monday.

Barack Obama calls for Cesar Chavez holiday

Cesar Chavez Day.

That's what Barack Obama is endorsing: A national holiday in honor of the late, legendary activist for farmworker rights (pictured below).

Today is Chavez's birthday -- and Hillary Clinton's campaign was the first to draw attention to that this morning, issuing a statement celebrating the 81st anniversary of Chavez's birth (he died on April 23, 1993).

But Obama, who has struggled to overcome Clinton's significant advantage among Latino voters in state after state, sought to one-up his rival for the Democratic presidential nod by joining the call for creating a national holiday to commemorate the father of the United Farm Workers.

Bill Clinton Begs for Texas Delegates

BUBBA BEGS TEXAS DELEGATES TO STICK WITH HIL

### EXCLUSIVE ###

Despite winning the popular vote in Texas, Hillary Clinton and her advisers are terrified that they’re about to suffer an Al Gore moment by losing in the pledged delegates race to Barack Obama beginning with county conventions on Saturday.

Enter Bill Clinton in a conference call this afternoon to cajole the rank and file to keep fighting for his wife.

“A race this close, every delegate counts,” the former president said in a hasty call with 960 Austin Dems who are backing her, which The Mouth of the Potomac listened to. “The turnout could literally give Hillary the support she needs to win the nomination.”

“We can still win this thing. We’re going to have a big victory in Pennsylvania. It’s going to change the psychology even further, but we need your help,” Clinton said.

Bill Richardson's tough call, short of endorsement

by Scott Martelle, The Swamp
He came close. Oh, so close. But Bill Richardson stopped just short Monday of endorsing one of his former competitors for the Democratic presidential nomination -- a coy game he's played before.

Speaking at a conference on rogue states and diplomacy at the UCLA Ronald W. Burkle Center for International Relations, Richardson was asked by moderator Maggie Farley, who covers the United Nations for The Los Angeles Times, who he thought was best able to handle both the domestic and international challenges facing America.

Richardson, as New Mexico governor, is a Democratic Party superdelegate, and he demurred on the question. But his answer still served as tea leaves to be read.

The Best Presidential Election Money Can Buy: Barack Obama Raised 55 Million in Feb -08

55 Million is the most raised in one month by any presidential campaign in U.S. history. More than 90% of donations were $100 or less.

Clinton camp: a paltry 35 mil.

90 Million used to be the ENTIRE amount raised for Democrats and Republicans combined!

Shame On You, Hillary Clinton

Shame on you Sen. Hillary Clinton for not condemning the circulation of the “dressed” image of Sen. Barack Obama in Samli Elder attire. To issue such a lame disassociation from the people who did circulate the image reflects on you and your campaign. You gained from this low ball tactic and you should have done more to denounce it. But you did not.

Just this past weekend you lambasted Sen. Obama for explaining part of you health care plan. For example, if a 50 year old man earning 50k per year does not want to purchase health care it does not matter under your plan. In your plan, the man is forced to purchase health care, even if he does not want it. You also make it mandatory for low income people to purchase health care and you say that your plan makes health care affordable. The problem is that a government bureaucrat decides what low income and "affordable" is.

On Super Tuesday, Obama Gets My Vote

On Super Tuesday, Obama Gets My Vote

I've been voting for a long time. The first time I voted for president, Carter was the Democratic nominee. He went on to win the election. I've voted Democrat ever since. Born in East L.A. and raised in San Gabriel, CA, it stands to reason that I was born and raised to be a liberal Democrat.

As a kid, I watched my sisters support McGovern. That might be when my electoral "curse" began. Aside from Carter's first victory, the rest of my choices for president lost their elections: Dukakis, Gore and Kerry. Carter also lost his bid for re-election to Reagan.

Then came Clinton. I once heard a pundit on television say about Clinton: "He's not the Messiah." Boy, was he right. Clinton, the "comeback kid" should have stayed back. But the press was in love with Slick Willy and with their help, Slick Willy went on to become the Democratic nominee.
